Hair Today, gone tomorrow

I confess that it has been a while since I last posted on this blog. I have been fairly busy of late, as it always tends to get busy during the summer months.

But I did find time to get my head and beard shaved in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support, as part of their Shave or Style campaign. I figured that since I didn't have much hair to start off, it didn't seem proper to have it styled - so off it had to come.

And so did the beard as well - after suggestions from some people as to the lack of hair on my head.

It was an interesting experience to say the least, having no hair on the top of my head. But I have done my bit to help MacMillan in their work helping cancer suffers.

Touch wood, I hope that I never have to suffer from cancer, but if that ever happened, I would like to think that MacMillian are still going. And that is the whole point of doing these things - to help others.

So as of today, the 28th of July, the total amount raised has reached £260. But there is still time to add whatever you can spare, just by clicking on the link below.

I would like to thank Gary of Uppercut Barbers, 392b Shirley Road, in Southampton, who have agreed to do the shave for free. And also my partner Karen, and my two Children, Harry and Mia, who came along for moral support.
